Aloe for acne! Pimples in everyday life can be a constant challenge for many people across the globe. Despite their small size, their unsightly appearance puts pimples at the top of the list of the most annoying skin issues. With acne affecting roughly 85% of people between 12 and 24, few Australians live a completely pimple-free life.
A lot of acne and pimple treatments contain harsh, nasty chemicals, with some even warning they can bleach your clothes, hair or pillow! Here at Natralus we believe the key to effective skincare is harnessing the goodness of organic, natural ingredients. This is why we are giving you this super simple, DIY face mask recipe to try for yourself!
Ground Oats: Containing a mixture of anti-inflammatory properties and saponins, this cleansing agent is perfect for those with mild to very sensitive skin. Oatmeal naturally contains Zinc which will help to eliminate the bad bacteria in pimples and acne. This amazing superfood can also remove dead skin cells, which will help moisturise and soften your skin.
Honey: This ‘liquid gold’ is packed full of antibacterial and antioxidant properties. Honey naturally opens pores while helping to fight off that bad skin bacteria.
Lemon: A mix of antibacterial and anti-fungal properties to fight off acne and blackheads. Lemon juice’s citric acid can help fade pimple scars and will help slow down excess oil build up.
Aloe Vera: Regarded for its varied healing qualities containing salicylic acid, sulphur compounds and enzymes that act as anti-inflammatories. It also contains 75 nutrients, 20 minerals, 12 vitamins, 18 amino acids, and 200 active enzymes!
